Straighter Teeth For Healthier Teen Smiles
Orthodontic assessment and treatment in the teen years play a crucial role in ensuring your teenager's smile is healthy, and developing as it should be.
Although oral development slows as kids enter their teen years, the face and jaw are still growing. This gives us the opportunity to guide the development of your teen's teeth and jaw toward the ideal outcome.
At Douglas Orthodontics, we develop personalized treatment plans using braces or Invisalign to address the unique needs of each of our teenage patients. This can be done either as a stand-alone treatment or as a follow-up to earlier Phase 1 orthodontics.
Whether the goal is to improve bite function and comfort, adjust tooth alignment, improve aesthetics, or all of the above, we're here to help send your teen into adulthood with a healthy bite and a confident smile.
Flexible Payment Plans & Financing Options
At Douglas Orthodontics, we believe that finances should never be a barrier to essential health care. To help our patients manage the cost of orthodontic treatment, we offer flexible payment plans and convenient financing with CareCredit.
Phase 2 Orthodontics for Teens
Ages 12 - 18
If your child has undergone early orthodontic intervention (Phase 1), they will be ready to embark on Phase 2 as they enter their teen years.
During Phase 1, children receive early orthodontic treatments designed to guide the development of their teeth and jaws in preparation for Phase 2. The goal of Phase 1 is to make Phase 2 treatment more efficient and more moderate.
During Phase 2, we use braces or Invisalign to finish off the work that was started in Phase 1. We think of it as the final step in the active orthodontic treatment process for kids.
Thanks to the groundwork set in Phase 1, Phase 2 is typically minimally invasive and shorter in duration than it might otherwise have been.
Orthodontic Treatment Options For Teens
